Break Out

Line up the players, by position as shown at the blue line. The puck is shot in by the center and the first
player in each line moves in to bring the puck out. The coach designates the method of bringing the puck out
of the end. The breakout progresses the length of the ice as a five-on-two. When the offensive play is
completed, another breakout is starts from the opposite end using another offensive line and defensive pair
starting at the far blue line. The defense pair who started the play follows it down the ice and then acts
defensively for the next five-on-two.
