excellent passing drill

This drill is an excellent passing drill creating a situation where players must carry the puck and be aware of a passer and pass receiver.

Explanation:

Two lines at opposite ends of the rink on the same side of the ice. Players leave one side slightly ahead of the other to start the drill. The first player receives a pass as he breaks the blue line and turns back up ice cutting around the far cone for a quality 1vs0 shot on net. After giving his pass the passer receives a pass from the second player in line from the opposite line. This then process then repeats.

The passes should be quite rapid causing quick shots on the net. Switch sides and repeat.

Cues:

Quick passes, head up, hit the tape, accellerate into and out of pass.
